Founder, Mandala For Home
My Journey
My artistic journey began in Singapore in 2021, when painting Mandalas became both a creative exploration and a meditative practice. What started as a personal engagement with rhythm, colour, and repetition gradually evolved into a dedicated contemporary art practice centered on creating works that bring stillness, balance, and emotional resonance into modern living spaces.
Artistic Practice
Working primarily with acrylics and intricate dot techniques, I create original paintings and functional art pieces that combine traditional mandala influences with a contemporary visual language. My practice explores the relationship between symmetry, abstraction, rhythm, and spatial experience, allowing structure and intuition to coexist within layered hand-painted compositions.
Through Mandala For Home, I continue to develop original collections, commissions, and exhibition projects that explore the emotional connection between art, space, and stillness.
Artist Statement
My work is rooted in the meditative language of mandalas, yet it seeks to move beyond symmetry as ornamentation. Through layered patterns, evolving geometries, and rhythmic mark-making, I explore the quiet relationship between stillness, movement, and emotional memory.
Inspired by natural rhythms, changing landscapes, and inner states of reflection, my paintings are intended to create a sense of pause within contemporary spaces. I am interested in the point where structure begins to feel organic, where precision softens into atmosphere, and where visual harmony evokes an emotional rather than purely decorative response.
For me, the act of painting is a dialogue between precision and intuition. By building intricate layers of dots, textures, and geometric forms, I aim to create works that hold both visual complexity and emotional quietness, encouraging a sustained and reflective engagement with the surface.
